This Chain Stay Clamp is recommended for mounting either side of all carbon fiber bike frames, some aluminum frames with flat-sided chainstays, and rarely on steel frames.
The chainstay clamp primarily used for mounting the BTL on the right side of bikes. However, it will attach on either side of your bike if it has a rectangular, oval, flat side or a strong anti-rotation feature like a cable pocket on the chainstay.

The Chain-Stay Clamp replaces the standard inner clamp to eliminate the chain rubbing the inner clamp when the bike is in its highest gears. The Right Side BTL mount is for use on bikes with rectangular or oval chain-stays (lower rear frame member) up to 1 1/2 inches high.
